I’m Danyel, photographer and developer of aftersnap.
For more than 20 years I have been photographing people, weddings and commercial work for businesses. aftersnap grew out of a simple question: how can the handover show the same care as the photos themselves?
A good handover saves work and shows what you stand for.
After selecting and editing, a second, fiddly process should not begin. I wanted to publish galleries straight from Lightroom, carry later changes across cleanly and then be properly finished.
Clients want to look through their photos and choose at their own pace. At big celebrations, guests are mostly looking for the shots of themselves or their family. Vendors, in turn, need a small selection that fits.
That is where aftersnap came from: first for my own jobs, later as a tool for other photographers. Every feature has to either make the work simpler or make the handover better.

I still use aftersnap for my own jobs. So new features come from problems that keep coming back in selection, editing and handover. There is no long wish list that I work through one item at a time.
