Create Slideshows, Show One in the Gallery and Share Them
In a gallery’s “Slideshows” tab you create as many slideshows as you need, say “Highlights” and “For the parents”. You show one of them in the gallery, where it starts from the button on the cover page; each one also has a link of its own, protected by a padlock.

Each slideshow is a row you expand and collapse. Expanded, it shows its photos in the grid, and the sidebar next to it applies to exactly that slideshow. Only one is open at a time.
The slideshow shows the photos full screen with a calm zoom and pan, along with pause and progress.
- Open the “Slideshows” tab in the gallery.
- Click “New slideshow”. It opens straight away, with its settings on the right.
- In the sidebar, give it a name your guests will understand and choose the pace under “Seconds per photo”.
Hidden sets and hidden photos do not play in any slideshow.
Show it in the gallery #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenThe “Show in gallery” switch decides which slideshow your guests get from “Start slideshow” on the cover page. There can only be one: switch one on and the other goes off, still reachable through its link.
The first slideshow of a gallery starts switched on. Switch them all off and the gallery has no slideshow button any more; the slideshows themselves stay.
On phones and tablets the button only appears in landscape. Held upright, your guests see a note to turn the device instead; the same goes for a slideshow's own start page. On iPhone the slideshow fills the window, as Safari does not let web pages go truly full screen there.
Open the gallery preview. The cover view carries “Start slideshow”, and the button plays the slideshow that is switched on.
Its own link and the padlock #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenEvery slideshow has an address of its own, which you copy with the link icon; a short notice confirms it. It opens a plain start page with the cover image, the name and a button; the gallery itself is not shown there.
There is no separate password. If the gallery has one, the padlock on the slideshow decides whether the link asks for it: locked, it asks for the gallery password; unlocked, it shows the slideshow without one. Unlocked means this slideshow only: its photos and its music, not the rest of the gallery.
The password is shown in the slideshow’s sidebar; you change it in the gallery settings in the “Photos” tab.
If the gallery has no password, the padlock is greyed out. A slideshow shown in a protected gallery always stays locked: the link must not be a back door next to the gallery.
