Proofing gallery

Let them pick first. Then edit just those.

For jobs with an image selection you use a gallery type of its own. Your clients choose from protected previews, mark extra images and write their wishes right on the photo. You see exactly what was ordered before you start editing.

Before and after

Two gallery types for two different jobs.

A client gallery delivers finished images. A proofing gallery collects the selection first. You can switch a gallery between the two types. Images, sets, comments and access all stay.

Delivery

View finished images and download them as you allow.

Proofing

Pick from protected previews, leave wishes and close the order.

From the preview to a binding selection.

Four steps replace lists of file names, scattered messages, and questions by email.

1
Upload previews

You upload web previews and sort them into sets.

2
Clients pick

Your clients mark the images they want within the agreed package.

3
Settle the requests

Requests and answers stay on the photo they belong to.

4
Submit the selection

After the close you receive the selection as a file list or as a Lightroom collection.

Allowance

The booked package is stored in the gallery.

Set for every set how many images are included, say ten portraits and five family photos. Further favourites can be blocked or noted as requested extras. After you have agreed, you release them one by one or together.

Extra photos, clearly recorded

You decide per gallery: either the selection stops at the package limit, or further favorites go onto a list of requested extras. After you have talked it through, you release them one by one or all at once.

Done
On the photo itself

Change requests sit where they belong.

Your clients write right on the photo. You answer in the same thread and tick off what is done. When several new messages arrive, you get one bundled email instead of collecting single notices.

Photographer’s Choice

Mark the images you particularly recommend with “Photographer’s Choice”. In the gallery they can be filtered under “Recommendation”.

Preview protection

A preview should be selectable without replacing a finished file.

Block right-click and dragging, render a watermark into the preview and switch on the diagonal blur if you want. The subject stays easy to judge while a clean screenshot becomes much harder.

You can also lay a watermark over the previews. The downloads you release arrive clean.

What the protection can do

Screenshots cannot be reliably prevented in any web gallery. The protective features raise the bar. Complete technical protection is not something they can offer.

Preview with a diagonal blur
After the selection

The selection comes back into your editing.

Copy the file names for the Lightroom text filter or pull the selection into your catalog as a collection with the plugin. Then you replace the previews with the finished files. Selection, comments and link all stay. You release the download once the editing is done.

Replace image

Replace the preview in its place with the edited file. Selection, comments, and link stay as they are.

Release the download

Whether the picked images are available right away or only after your editing is set per gallery. On request a message goes to your clients as soon as you release them.

Reorders

For reorders you open a new round of selection. Photos already bought stay marked, and the package limit counts across all rounds.

Every binding change stays traceable.

Submission, reopening, released extras, and new rounds are logged with a timestamp and the file names. The log stays readable after the gallery has expired.

Let your clients choose where they see the images.

Try proofing on your next selection job. Free, no credit card and no automatic renewal.
