What a Snap-in is

How it differs from a client gallery

A client gallery delivers photos to the people in them. A Snap-in shows a selection of your work on your own website: in your portfolio, on a landing page, inside a blog post. No access code, no downloads, no second photo library to maintain.

The photos stay with us. Swap one out or reorder them, and the other website follows without you touching it.

Creating and filling one

Create one under “Snap-ins”. All it needs is a name, and that name only ever appears in your own overview.

Photos get in two ways: upload them as you would to a gallery, or take them over from a gallery you already have. Taking them over makes copies. Delete that gallery later and the Snap-in stays.

For these photos we keep only the web version, no original. A Snap-in therefore uses a fraction of the storage a gallery of the same size uses.

Order and alt text

Set the order by dragging. Every photo takes an alt text: one sentence describing what is in it. Screen readers read it out and search engines use it. It saves as you type.
