Fetch the Proofing Selection in Lightroom
Through “File > Plug-in Extras > aftersnap: Fetch client selection” the plugin puts the selected images into a collection called “aftersnap selection · gallery title” and, if you want, applies your clients’ stars and colour labels. Matching runs through the publishing, so images uploaded in the browser are unknown to Lightroom.

Fetch the selection into a collection #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehen- In Lightroom Classic, choose “File > Plug-in Extras > aftersnap: Fetch client selection”. The same command is under “Library > Plug-in Extras”; the File menu is there in every module, in Develop too.
- Choose the gallery.
- Leave “Apply client stars and color labels” ticked if your clients’ stars and colours should go into the catalogue.
- Confirm. The plugin creates the collection “aftersnap selection · gallery title” and makes it the active source.
A collection of the same name is emptied first, so nothing from an earlier state mixes in after a selection was reopened.
Apply stars and colours #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenFrom plugin version 0.9.0, fetching writes your clients’ stars to the photos as ratings and their colours as colour labels. Only photos your clients marked are changed. Your other ratings and labels stay as they are, and nothing is cleared.
In Lightroom, stars and colours are often your own working marks. To keep them, untick the option in the dialog; the plugin remembers your choice for the next fetch.
Older plugin versions keep fetching the selection only. For stars and colours, download the plugin again under “Lightroom” in the menu with your name and replace the folder.
What the closing message tells you #

It points out when the selection has not been finalised yet, and it names the number of additional photos that only belong to the delivery once you approve them in aftersnap. If stars and colours were applied, it says on how many photos.
- Some files are missing from the collection.
- The plugin matches through the publishing. Images that reached the gallery through the browser are unknown to Lightroom; the message names them, and you find them with “Copy file names” and the library filter.
