Generate the Plugin and Install It in Lightroom
You generate a plugin installation for one device in the dashboard, unpack the ZIP file somewhere permanent and add aftersnap.lrplugin in the Plug-in Manager of Lightroom Classic. Your access sits inside the plugin, so there is nothing to type in.

Generate a plugin for one device #

Every device gets its own installation. If a computer is lost, you revoke exactly that plugin and the others keep working. How many installations you can hold at once depends on your plan.
- Enter a name under “Generate a plugin for a device”, for example “Studio PC” or “MacBook”.
- Click “Generate & download plugin”. The download starts on its own.
- Unpack the ZIP file. You get a folder “aftersnap” with “aftersnap.lrplugin” inside.
- Move the folder somewhere permanent, for example to “Documents”.
Do not leave the folder in your downloads. Lightroom loads the plugin at every start from the place you selected during installation.
The plugin holds your personal access to the account. Do not pass the folder on.
Installing on macOS #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehen- Open Lightroom Classic and choose “File > Plug-in Manager”.
- Click “Add” at the bottom left.
- Open the folder “aftersnap” in its permanent place and select “aftersnap.lrplugin” inside it.
- Confirm with “Add Plug-in” and close the window with “Done”.

Installing on Windows #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehen- Right-click the ZIP file in Explorer and choose “Extract All…”.
- Confirm the target folder and move the extracted folder “aftersnap” somewhere permanent.
- Open Lightroom Classic and choose “File > Plug-in Manager”.
- Click “Add” at the bottom left, select the folder “aftersnap.lrplugin” inside “aftersnap” and confirm with “Select Folder”.
- Close the window with “Done”.
A double click on the ZIP file is not enough on Windows. Windows then only opens the archive virtually, while Lightroom needs the files on the disk.

Connect the publish service #

- Switch to the “Library” module in Lightroom Classic.
- Find “Publish Services” on the left and click “Set Up” next to the “aftersnap” entry.
- Click “Test connection”.
- Save the settings once the test has gone through.
- There is no “aftersnap” entry under Publish Services.
- Check under “File > Plug-in Manager” whether the plugin is active. If it shows an error, the folder has been moved or deleted.
- The connection is refused.
- Look under “Lightroom plugin” in the dashboard to see whether the installation is still listed under “Your active plugins”. A revoked installation cannot reach your account any more; generate a new one in that case.
