Release Photos to a Vendor
In the gallery you add the vendor and open the share; AI tagging and face recognition suggest images, and you decide. A share carries an expiry date, the download permission and the usage terms that apply, and vendors with Vendor Pro can add the photos to their own collection.

- The vendor shows as “active” in your network. You can save the share before that, but it only takes effect once they confirm.
- Your usage terms are in place.
Attach the vendor to the gallery #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenOpen gallery Vendors
- Click “+ Add” and search for the person in your network.
- Click “Add” next to them.
If the person is already on aftersnap but not in your network, “Send request” sends them a request; they then appear in the gallery as “Requested”. If they have no account yet, you invite them from this dialogue with “Invite them here.” and “Invite & Add”.
Choose the images #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenClick “Check Matched Photos” next to the vendor. aftersnap can build a pre-selection, and a pre-selection is all it ever is.
AI tagging searches by industry, cake or floral decoration for instance. It also finds detail shots without the person and, depending on the industry, returns far too much. Face recognition finds the stored person more precisely and misses detail shots without them.
- Go through the suggested images and remove what does not fit. The photos appear in the same order as in the gallery. The magnifier on a photo shows it large; there the space bar switches the selection.
- If you have already picked photos, “Add Suggestions” adds the AI suggestions on top. “Suggestions Only” replaces your selection with the suggestions.
- Add further photos by hand.
- Set the date under “Available Until” in the share options.
- Decide on “Allow Download”.
- Check the usage terms shown and deviate from them only if this one share needs it.
- Click “Save Share”.
If a share already exists, saving updates its selection and its rules. “Resend Share Notification” repeats the notification. After the day set under “Available Until” the share ends on its own.
What vendors with Vendor Pro do with it #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenVendors with Vendor Pro, including its trial, copy shared photos into their own collection with “Add to collection” or “Add all to collection”. From there they show them as a gallery of their own under vendor.aftersnap.io, as a showroom, password-protected if they like, or embedded on their website.
It takes an active share whose terms the vendor has accepted. “Allow Download” plays no part in it; adding works without it. What gets copied is the web version and the thumbnail, never the original, and the watermark of the share does not go onto the copy.
The copy then belongs to the vendor's collection and counts against their photo limit and storage, not yours. It stays when the share expires, when you withdraw it and when you delete the photo, the gallery or your account.
If you have set a credit text, the copy takes it along. It appears in the lightbox of the gallery, the showroom and the embed, linked to your profile page, and the vendor cannot switch it off.
A share with a vendor who has Vendor Pro always includes adding the photos to their own galleries. What they may and may not show there is set in your usage terms.
Reference photo for face recognition #
Ab Tarif Studio Tarife ansehenIt is best when vendors add their reference photos themselves in the portal. You can do it as well, as long as you have their consent.
- Open the vendor settings and switch face recognition on.
- Confirm that you have the consent.
- Upload a photo with exactly one clearly visible face.
- Wait until the status reads “ready”.
Only the biometric template is stored; the uploaded photo is deleted after processing. Consent to face recognition is a different matter from agreeing to the usage terms.
