Adapting the gallery link email and the proofing email to your style
The subject and text of the gallery link email and the proofing email can be overwritten with placeholders, and you set the salutation to one of four styles. Without a change of your own, the system template applies automatically.

Picking a salutation style #

- Click one of the four styles: a plain greeting with both names, a warmer one on a single line, the same on two lines, or the formal one with a surname.
- Tick “Ladies First” if you want it.
“Ladies First” only takes effect when you state the gender while sending. Without it, a neutral form is used.
Overwriting subject and text #

- Click “Edit”.
- Write your subject and your text.
- Insert placeholders through “Placeholder Help”, or type two curly braces to get suggestions.
- Click “Save”.
The cover photo, the “View Gallery” button and the password box are added automatically. Here you only write the text in between.
The live preview on the right shows the finished email with sample data. The switch above it runs through the versions for a couple, a single person and the formal address.
The proofing email #

When you send the link to a gallery in proofing mode, the proofing email goes out instead of the gallery link email. It has a template of its own, which you edit the same way: “Edit”, write your text, “Save”.
Below your text aftersnap adds the “Select photos” button and a box with the proofing password. The guest and master passwords of the delivery are not included, because they do not open the selection.
Two placeholders exist only here. {{kontingent}} becomes a sentence about the quota per set, such as “The package includes 40 photos from “Ceremony” and 60 photos from “Party”.”, plus whether additional photos can be selected beyond it. Without a quota the paragraph is left out. {{nach_abschluss}} says what happens after the binding selection: editing, or an immediate download, depending on your delivery setting.
The “Proofing Email” card only appears when your plan includes proofing mode.
Words that change with the form of address #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenThe pronoun placeholders cover the pronouns themselves. For anything else that changes with the form of address, there is the address switch: you write the three versions in double curly braces, separated by a vertical bar, in the order couple, one person, formal.
“Here {{you two can|you can|you may}} choose.” becomes “Here you two can choose.” for a couple, “Here you can choose.” for one person and “Here you may choose.” in the formal address.
Switch the live preview between couple, single person and formal. Every switch must show the matching version there.
Which placeholders exist #
Ab Tarif Pro Tarife ansehenThe placeholder overview lists every building block available: the greeting, the matching pronouns in upper and lower case, your personal message from the sending dialog, the gallery title, your name from your profile and your review link. The proofing email adds the quota and the step after the selection.
When sending, aftersnap replaces every placeholder with the real value. The preview shows you the result, not the braces.
The review link only fills up once you have connected your Google Business Profile under “Profile Page”.
Back to the system template #

- Click “Edit”.
- Click “Reset to Default”.
After that your email follows the system template again automatically, including later improvements we make to it. The “Custom Template” badge disappears.
