Protect the Proofing Previews
Basic protection blocks right-click and dragging, pro protection blurs one diagonal half of the image, and a watermark can sit on the previews. None of that stops a screenshot; it makes screenshots useless enough that nobody uses them in your place.

Basic protection blocks right-click, dragging an image and the save menu on mobile devices. It does nothing against a screenshot.
Pro protection blurs one diagonal half of the image. Which half stays sharp changes with the mouse or with a tap, so a single screenshot never shows the whole image sharp.
There is no reliable way to stop image theft by screenshot, in any web gallery. Do not promise your clients otherwise.
A watermark on the previews #

For proofing you can put a watermark straight onto the previews. You choose between “Watermark: Off” (the default), “Watermark: Account Default” and “Watermark: Custom”. The account default is the watermark you set up on your “Profile Page”.
With “Custom”, a tile with a logo preview appears below. “Upload Logo” sets a logo for this gallery only, and “Remove” takes it out again. As long as no logo of its own is uploaded, your account watermark applies.
As soon as a watermark is chosen, “Adjust watermark” appears below. There you drag it into place and set its size. Position and size apply to the whole gallery, on the proofing previews and for the download watermark.
“Show released images without a watermark” takes the stamp off again as soon as an image is bought: for included images once the selection is final, for additional photos once you approve them. Switch the option off if bought images should stay stamped until the edited version is in place.
The cover photo #

In proofing mode, “Cover Photo” holds the switch “Show in gallery front end”, off to begin with. Switched on, the cover photo fills the screen behind the proofing password prompt. On a phone aftersnap uses the mobile cover photo, if you have set one.
Pro protection does not apply to the cover photo, and it can be seen before the password is entered. When in doubt, use an image that is already released or uncritical.
